Korea Ski Instructor Championship

Our Seoul representatives Urban Slope took part in the annual Korea Ski Instructors Championship. Star Hill Resort that hosted the event is one of the oldest in the country, about 40 years old. Tucked up into the Cheonmasan Mountains, it’s only 32 km away from Seoul, surrounded by pristine slopes and hills.

The ski simulator was installed at the hotel several days before competitions started. When instructors turned up for preliminary training, they had no idea what they would find for dessert at the lobby. Some of them were just passing by and ventured to try virtual slopes right away, which on the next day turned into lines. Adults were excited just as kids, kids were as thrilled as… us!

Getting a grip of the simulator only took around 10 minutes for those who can ski. Surprisingly, kids started to make great turns on the machine even faster, in 5-7 minutes.
