“You’re not gonna hurt yourself, there’s no stress, and you still get the movements of skiing, feel how the forces are going to react on your body."
Andrew Weibrecht, two-time Olympic medalist, US Ski Team
From the very first turns it felt just skiing. I did hundreds short slalom turns, long GS turns, medium turns, tuck turns, slow turns. I then raced on a true slalom and a full blown GS course with timing. I was out of breath like I would be on a real race. It’s a blast.
...When I first came to the training camp in the mountains, I felt at onсe that my skiing technique and stand have advanced significantly. My balance has also improved, — and this is really important for a snowboarder. All that was due to training on the simulator.
"Getting on the Ski Simulator is going to prepare you physically to ski more volume, so you can improve you upper-lower body separation, hip angulation, rolling your knee and ankle. It’s so hard to replicate conditioning outside of the snow. SkyTech Simulator is by far the closest thing we’ve seen to it."
Sasha Rearick
US Ski Team Men's Head Coach
I've been going to SkyTechSport twice a week religiously. The reason: It's actually FUN. You know, like skiing. My technique has improved 1000%. Oh yeah, and I've gotten into killer shape too! I can't wait to hit the slopes this year!
You can make the same movement a hundred of times, which is not possible on the slope. To add to that, all the movements are much more visible without the ski gear, and the instructor explains and corrects even the smallest details. Thank you very much!
"A great way to teach people how to get over the outside ski, learn that proper movement in transition, movement with the core.”
Steven Nyman
Downhill World Cup Winner
There's not always enough time with good weather conditions to train on the slope. In 15-20 minutes on this ski simulator you can get the same loads as during the whole training day on the slope. This simulator magically helps improve basic elements of skiing technique, perfect all element of carving technique.
We have closely tracked the impact of this promo and were very satisfied with the result: the number of store weekend visits has increased compared to the same weekends in previous years and to other stores as well. The word of mouth effect was still in motion long after the promo was over.
Los Angeles is consistently at the forefront of fitness and health trends, and this is no exception. It’s about time that gyms got a cool-factor upgrade, and we’re starting the movement here. The SkyTechSport ski and snowboard simulator appeals to all ages and is like no workout the Westside has ever seen.
Unbelievably realistic! You're sliding and edging the skis. Many exciting courses built in. And when you finally step out you realise a substantial work has been done. Amazing possibilities open up with this equipment: action-packed workouts, non-stop training of new material...
The forces are reproduced fantastically well, it is amazing! The sensation when you learn how to transfer the body weight is perfect. I see this as a new rehabilitation tool: the software is very flexible and opens up many interesting possibilities.
It is very similar to real skiing, the same muscular efforts and feedback. Fixed distance between your feet is also technically correct. The simulator just doesn’t allow you to ski using the wrong technique. It’s not a video game, but an educational tool.
